The Cast



DOLLY CLANDON


Portraying the outspoken, fun-loving and highly curious 18 year-old Dorothea ‘Dolly’ Clandon is the beautiful Nurul Haseena Aunie binti Hassan. With her portfolio as the face of an online hijab, Haseena’s expressions bring life to her stage character. This, coupled with her fascination for theatre, makes her acting debut a combustible love affair.


PHILIP CLANDON


The other half of the twin duo, playing the role of Philip Clandon is the lively debater, Amir Rafiq bin Mohd Johari Palermo. Behind him are numerous involvements in high school drama productions.

With his fellow drama geeks, he wrote a play entitled, Trapped, which focuses on people from different backgrounds putting aside their differences to figure out a way out of their locked room. In Summer of Serendipity, Amir is eager to polish his pipes as well as portraying the role of a loving brother.



GLORIA CLANDON





Nur Nabilah binti Zainudin will be bringing the character of Gloria Clandon to life. Having spent her childhood in Bristol, the British accent is something familiar to her.

She has been involved in the play The Matchstick Girl, portraying the titular character as well as portraying Maria in The Twelfth Night. Nabila is also an experienced singer, having a certain vibrato characteristic to her voice that will astound those listening.




MRS. LANFREY CLANDON



Portraying the feminist mother, Mrs. Lanfrey Clandon is Marinah Aishah Bleasel Eric Alan who easily falls into character…

Marinah brings about a feeling of authority but dig deep enough and you will find a humble, soft-spoken young lady who impresses her cast mates and hopes to have the same effect on the audience of Summer of Serendipity



VALENTINE





Charming his way into the hearts of the audience,  Ahmad Haziq bin Ahmad Azman plays his alter ego, Valentine the dentist. As one with the most experienced cast members, Haziq inspires others to make the play mission most possible.

Back in high school, he was part of the cast that won the Central Zone and National SBP Championship in which he played ‘the abuser’ in the drama, 5 Men Women Should Avoid. Haziq’s versatility in his role brings out the summery breeze in Summer of Serendipity.



MR. FERGUS CRAMPTON




Adam Izwan bin Mohd Azmi will be portraying the-not-exactly-respected
Mr. Crampton, the absent father. As a novice, his passion in performing arts is commendable as he takes the extra mile to prep for his role.

As a member of the Music Club, Adam is also able to carry off a tune with his vibrato. The outspoken and confident, Adam is a highly suitable candidate for this particular character.



WALTER THE WAITER


The voice of wisdom, Walter the waiter or more commonly referred to as William, after William Shakespeare, will be brought to life by the wise Haris bin Mohamad Reza.

A debater who is…….. himself, he is able to punctuate his points and not let himself be hated by the other cast members of Summer of Serendipity.



MR. WALTER BOHUN




The arrogant lawyer son of the waiter, Mr. Walter Bohun is portrayed by the lanky, eager learner by the name of Muhammad Mukriz bin Mahader Ahmad.

A familiar face in dikir barat performances of his school’s gala dinners, Mukriz is taking on a challenge of a different kind this time around…
